The Sitabani zone is the beautiful Sal forest area and most visited zone by tourist due to last minute availability. The Sitabni Forest came into the Buffer area of Jim Corbett where you can still see numerous birds and other creatures in this area. Not just that the other species of animals such as Leopards, Royal Bengal tigers, Tuskers, and a variety of Deer (sambhar deer, Spotted deer, barking deer, hog deer ) are easily spotted.
The Sitabani region plays a key mythical role in the epic Ramayana, for one of the reasons the temples and the waterfall you can see here.
The number of cars allowed to access the area is unrestricted to not disturbed the animals. This is the best location to be if you're thinking of taking your buddies on a Corbett wildlife safari ride. To access the Sitabani zone, a special authorization will be issued by forest officials.
You can experience a unique trip in an open jeep at Sitabani Zone. For safaris in the Sitabani Zone, offline permits are available at the TEDA gate. 100 Jeeps are allowed in this area, and a nature guide is necessary but the governement side to explain each and every detail of the zone. For three to four hours, the jeep driver himself roams the bush.
