Dhikala Zone is one of the largest zone of the Jim Corbett National Park and is also a prominent one due to various reasons. The entry gate of this zone is Dhangari gate where you can also get the opportunity to visit Dhangari Corbett Museum and get to know about the amusing and exciting history of Jim Corbett National Park.
The zone offers the thrill of Dhikala Canter safari where the 6 hours expedition to the jungle is enriching and heartwarming. Thereto, the ride through the Dhikala Canter safari in a 16 seater bus is exciting. Certainly this safari is going to be exciting and surprising as you are going to have the glance at the wildlife, which you would have never heard of or seen before.

The national park is a habitat of several endangered rare species. Herein, you can also evidence the chaurs, where the wild animals like, tiger, bear and deer can be spotted. The zone is also is known for the presence of rare Hog deer. And with the specialties of migratory birds and dense forest, the zone has plenty of things to explore.
An important note for this zone is that you cannot avail the facility of Jeep safari at this zone for day visit, as it’s only granted to the residents of the Dhikala Forest Rest House, wherein the permission of jeep safari persists with a guide in the jeep.
The night stay in the forest house in the Dhikala zone is like a dream adventure for any wildlife lovers. There are 4 forest rest houses situated in this zone, which are Dhikala FRH, Gairal FRH, Sarpduli FRH and Sultan FRH. Among all the four rest houses, the Dhikala FRH is the most sought after rest house due to its strategic location and enhanced facilities. Dhikala forest rest house is the biggest rest house with having around 28 double-bed rooms and a dormitory of 12 beds in various accommodation wings. Dhikala FRH is the only forest rest house in the Corbett NP which has the facility of 24-hour electricity in the rooms.
Situated close to the Gairal Rest house, the crocodile point is a porch like spot worked over a pool having countless crocodiles as the changeless natural surroundings. You can watch the crocodiles and their action by remaining on the patio and glancing down in the pool. This is an astonishing inclination to watch such a perilous animal of water at so close.
The enormous meadow, which is known as Chaurs, is the prime area in the Dhikala to spot wild creatures from tigers to elephants, different types of deer, wild pigs and numerous others.
